Hello, I’m Louise, the founder of Moon on a Stick, a sanctuary for holistic healing where I blend my years of experience in wellness and my personal journey of spiritual growth. As a woman in my 50s, a mother of two wonderful children, Luca and Sabrina and a very supportive husband, my life has been about work, discovery, healing and family. After being a stay-at-home mum for Luca and a parent carer for Sabrina, who has a rare disease, I can reclaim my career and reconnect with a part of myself that has been naturally on hold.
My career began at 18, when I opened my first beauty business, inspired by my entrepreneurial father. This led me to a successful career, where I had the privilege of working with Aveda, helping establish the first UK AVEDA Institute in Covent Garden. At AVEDA I fell in love with natural, organic skincare and holistic treatments. I honed my skills in specialist Ayurvedic treatments and learned more about the philosophies for health in India. I also learnt about my limits as burnout occurred. This led me to my REIKI I and REIKI II training, and learning how to conserve my personal energy whilst still offering amazing treatments.
Later, I joined a new business start-up as the Head Therapist, working my way up to General Manager. Still using AVEDA products, I passed on my knowledge to the team I recruited and training became a large part of my work. My self-development rocketed as I travelled the world with the annual AVEDA congress and attended advanced trainings and management courses. Here I learnt how to run a successful business from the bottom up and I learnt also many of the challenges a business on the Highstreet suffers.
My career continued at Lucknam Park Hotel, a five-star hotel near Bath, where I managed the luxury spa and ensured the highest standards for every guest. Here I experienced the luxury end of the market and all of the work it takes to deliver excellence from behind the scenes. My team and I regularly treated the rich and famous. My learnings here were this; “On the treatment couch we are all equal.”
I started a charity in our daughter’s name and created Sabrina’s World across social platforms to raise awareness about her rare disease.
I campaign with Mum’s on a Mission- Swindon, for Changing Places toilets and inclusive play opportunities in our local parks.
I am writing my first memoir on my experiences growing up as a child of an alcoholic called Daughter of the Bottle.
Another beautiful evening spent with Moon on a Stick. Every session is different, always guided intuitively, and that’s just what I wanted. The improvement I’ve made spiritually and mentally is amazing. If you want something a bit different, I recommend going to the lady that never stops giving.

I had a trauma from when I was 12 that I still thought about regularly, even now in my 40s. During the Brainspotting session with Louise, I felt a knot in my solar plexus as I focused on the memory. Nothing much changed at the time, but after a night’s sleep, I woke up feeling completely different. When I tried to recall the event, it felt like it was happening to someone else. That distance from the trauma has stayed with me ever since.

I recently had the most beautiful holistic facial. From the moment it began, I felt completely relaxed. The sensation of alternating hot towels and cold elements on my skin was both soothing and invigorating.
One of the highlights was the steam, the warm mist enveloped my face, opening my pores and allowing me to fully sink into the moment. It felt like a cloud of calm, paired perfectly with the cooling moments that followed. Every step was intentional and nurturing.
By the end, my skin felt refreshed, glowing, and deeply hydrated, and I felt like I’d just come back from a mini retreat. Highly recommend if you’re in need of self-care and a serious skin refresh!

Yesterday I had the absolute pleasure in visiting @moononastickuk for the most divine restorative full body treatment and foot ritual which was pretty damn special. The space, the energy, the Tibetan singing bowl, the essential oils, essences, petals and various massages and energy healing left me feeling revitalised. Just what I needed right now. If you've not had a chance to visit Lou at Moon on a Stick yet, please do!

I’ve recently had two amazing Brainspotting sessions with Louise, and all I can say is wow! Louise is incredible at holding safe space and very warm and empathetic while being so professional, I highly recommend booking in with her. I’m still in awe of how well this worked for me. I’ve felt such a release and shift since.
